LaunchTech is seeking a Project Manager to support internal corporate operations, providing oversight across a portfolio of federal, state, and commercial contracts. This is a remote, non-billable, internal corporate role and is not assigned to a single customer contract.

The Project Manager sits within LaunchTech’s internal organization and is responsible for coordinating execution, governance, and performance across multiple contracts. This role works closely with on-site Project Managers and Leads, CORs, subcontractors, primes, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery, compliance, and communication across all projects. This position is ideal for a Project Manager who has experience managing multiple contracts concurrently rather than serving as an embedded PM on one billable contract.

Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance. A Top Secret clearance is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Contract Oversight (Internal Corporate Role)
  • Provide internal oversight for multiple concurrent contracts and projects across federal, state, and commercial customers
  • Serve as a central coordination point between on-site Project Managers, Leads, CORs, subcontractors, primes, and internal LaunchTech teams
  • Ensure projects are executed in alignment with contractual requirements, internal standards, budgets, and performance expectations
  • Monitor contract health across schedule, staffing, compliance, and financial performance, escalating risks and issues as needed
  • Support contract modifications, reporting requirements, and compliance activities in coordination with contracts and finance teams
Leadership & Team Management
  • Directly manage and provide guidance to on-site Project Managers and Leads assigned to customer contracts
  • Lead internal kickoff meetings, operational reviews, and status meetings to align expectations and ensure consistent delivery
  • Establish standardized project management practices, templates, and reporting mechanisms across contracts
  • Act as a matrix leader, ensuring accountability while working across multiple teams and stakeholders
Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain regular communication with government and commercial customers, CORs, subcontractors, and prime contractors
  • Translate customer needs and contractual obligations into actionable plans for internal and on-site teams
  • Develop and deliver internal and external status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including operations, finance, contracts, HR, and business development
Financial & Operational Management
  • Support budget development, tracking, and forecasting across multiple contracts
  • Monitor labor utilization, staffing levels, and cost performance in coordination with finance and operations
  • Use internal systems and tools to maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Business Development Support
  • Participate in RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs by providing operational input, staffing strategies, and execution approaches
  • Support growth within existing customer accounts by identifying opportunities for additional services or expanded scope
  • Contribute lessons learned and best practices to strengthen future proposals and execution plans
Required Qualifications

Experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with demonstrated experience managing multiple contracts or projects concurrently
  • Experience working within the internal organization of a government contracting firm, not solely as an embedded or billable PM on a single contract
  • Proven experience overseeing federal contracts; experience with state and commercial contracts is required
  • Experience managing and leading on-site Project Managers and Leads in a matrixed environment
  • Active Secret security clearance required; Top Secret preferred
  • Experience supporting solicitation responses (RFI, RFQ, RFP)
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of government contracting environments, compliance requirements, and customer engagement
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across a diverse contract portfolio
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, Monday.com, Unanet or Deltek Costpoint
Travel Requirements
  • Periodic travel approximately quarterly to customer sites, employee locations, company offices, and events
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience developing or improving internal project management processes
  • Experience overseeing federal, state, and commercial contracts simultaneously

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
