IT Hardware Asset Manager
Location: Colorado Springs, CO – Schriever Space Force Base
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
Travel Required: Up to 10%
LaunchTech is seeking an IT Hardware Asset Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This role maintains positive control of IT assets, supports procurement lifecycle activities, ensures accurate inventories, and provides direct support to classified and unclassified asset management efforts across multiple locations.
What You’ll Be Doing
The IT Hardware Asset Manager will:
Provide support to the IRES customer(s) as a member of the MIT Asset Management Functional Team
Be responsible for maintaining positive control of IT assets by actively tracking and maintaining physical locations, including deployed and storage inventory counts
Analyze situations and identify solutions or corrections to improve inventory accuracy while supporting the property team in maintaining control over multiple inventory portfolios
Have responsibilities that include:
Sole POC/owner of hardware audit process for the DCCX customer
Procurement facilitation and tracking via a dedicated artifact
Communicating with vendors and resellers to collect budgetary estimates and confirm procurement details
Tracking and receiving hardware within the facility or warehouse storage
CMDB/database updates including work vehicle completions for new requirements and sustainment efforts, lifecycle management data, and all pertinent customer-tracked data
Researching inventory discrepancies
Completing recurring monthly inventory scan audits and being an active and constructive team member for all asset management requirements
Supporting hardware disposition needs such as sanitization, excessing old or unneeded assets, and CD/hard-drive destruction
Helping track and facilitate actions for classified control documentation (NTX)
Upholding asset management policies and procedures
Executing asset management functions at multiple locations by planning and coordinating access as required
Inventorying, restocking, and maintaining equipment storage locations and issuing equipment to technical staff based on asset management processes
