We are seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that integrate seamlessly with our Government Customer’s infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of scalable and reliable DevSecOps solutions. Our primary platform is Kubernetes based leveraging Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).

The candidate will:

  • Be responsible for several cloud and containerization computing roles focusing on engineering, architecture, development, and administration.

  • Assess a project's technology infrastructure and explores options for moving to the cloud and containerization.

  • Oversee the migration and maintains the new system leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IAC) utilities such as Terraform, HELM, Ansible and Bash.

  • Provide expertise in container hardening to meet DoD and MDA compliance standards.

  • Develop and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure on IaaS and PaaS platforms.

  • Assist in the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy.

  • Incorporate security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications.

  • Evaluate and identifies the best cloud solutions for the project.

  • Design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.

  • Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.

  • Integrate component subsystems into a cohesive whole and ensures they function together.

  • Design and implements cloud-based integration solutions that meet Government requirements.

  • Plan, coordinate, schedule, test, improve, and maintain IT systems.

  • Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems.

  • Deploy and maintains cloud application databases including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MySQL.

  • Develop and maintains comprehensive documentation for all integration processes and systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolves complex integration issues in a timely manner.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to continuously improve integration processes.

  • Analyze existing systems and infrastructure to identify upgrade needs and integration opportunities.

  • Communicate with Government to determine optimal subsystem pricing/sourcing.

  • Reports to leadership and stakeholders on infrastructure capabilities.

  • Evaluate & recommend new technology & processes based upon cost, risk, mission.

  • Be able to perform highly specialized, technical tasks associated with current and cutting-edge technologies.

  • Be able to perform multiple tasks at specialist level.

What You Bring

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have 12, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience

    • May be reduced with completion of advanced education

  • Must have 6, or more, years of directly related experience in system integration, with a focus on DevSecOps practices or Kubernetes

  • Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role

  • Must be proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift

  • Must have experience with Coder Platform

  • Must have a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Must be able to develop & use exceptionally complex concepts & processes that span multiple organizations and disciplines

  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ie Security+)

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
